Honest guide

A good studio gives you a room, equipment, traffic and someone who answers the phone. A bad contract takes your name, your socials and your future with it. Here are the clauses that matter, in plain English, whether you are about to sign, want to add a fan page, or are thinking about leaving. This is not legal advice.

Growing alone is exhausting. It doesn't have to be.

The difference isn't working more hours — it's having a team handle everything that isn't creating.

Without a team
  • You post with no strategy and no idea what works
  • Messages pile up unanswered
  • Promoting on socials eats hours every day
  • You never know if you're on track
With BIGR AGENCY
  • A clear content strategy, tailored to you
  • A team answers your DMs and closes sales
  • We run your socials and the traffic
  • A weekly report with real numbers

First, what this page is and is not

We are a creator-management agency, not lawyers, and nothing here is legal advice. We wrote it because models in studios ask us the same questions every week, and the answers they find online are either a studio saying everything is standard or a forum saying every studio is a scam. Neither is true.

We work with studios as partners and with independent models directly, so we have no interest in you leaving a good studio. We do have an interest in you knowing what you signed.

Your stage name, your face, your socials

The clause that matters most is the one that says who owns your stage name and the social accounts built under it. If the studio owns them, the day you leave you start from zero with a new name and no followers, which is the whole reason the clause exists. Look for the words "intellectual property", "brand", "persona" or "accounts" and read them twice.

Your face cannot be owned, but content of it can be. Check whether the studio keeps the right to use recordings of you after you leave, and for how long. A fair contract lets the studio use what it paid to produce and stops there.

Exclusivity and fan pages

Many studio contracts have an exclusivity clause. Some cover only live camming on other sites; some cover any adult content anywhere, which would include a fan page. Find the clause, read exactly what it covers, and if it is unclear ask the studio in writing before you open anything.

If the clause blocks a fan page, you have two honest options: ask the studio to amend it, or ask the studio to partner with an agency so the page is run with the studio on board. We offer exactly that through our partner program, and a studio that refuses both is telling you something about how it sees your future.

Money, hours and penalties

Check how your share is calculated and when it is paid: after the site's own cut, before or after the studio's costs, on what date, by what method and in whose name. Any arrangement where your earnings are paid to the studio and then on to you is a risk you carry, not the studio.

Then read the hours clause, the minimum-shift clause and the penalties. Fines for missed shifts, "training" deductions, equipment charges and deposits you get back later are the clauses models most often discover after signing. If a figure is not written down, it is not agreed.

Leaving properly

Find the notice period and the way notice must be given, then give it exactly that way, in writing, and keep a copy. Do not go dark; a model who disappears gives a studio every excuse to enforce the clauses above. Take your own ID documents, your own accounts and anything the contract says is yours, and leave what it says is theirs.

If you are leaving because of money you are owed, threats or anything that frightens you, speak to a lawyer or a workers' organisation in your country before you act. That matters more than any fan page.
